Endemol Shine Group to Launch Newly Combined Format Slate at MIPTV 2015

7th Apr 2015

Newly launched global content creator, producer and distributor, Endemol Shine Group, which brings together Endemol, Shine and CORE Media, today announced its newly combined format slate heading to Cannes for MIPTV 2015. This year’s launch of Endemol Shine Group has brought a diverse global library of international hits under one roof. Among the company’s highlights are some of the world’s biggest non-scripted formats including Big Brother, Masterchef, Junior Masterchef, Pointless, The Biggest Loser, Your Face Sounds Familiar and many more.

More recent returning titles include The Island, the hit survival format, which has just been commissioned by NBC in the U.S. following its success in the UK where it is returning for a second series on Channel 4; and The Brain, the cerebral talent show format from Germany, which is a breakout hit in China, Spain, Italy, Brazil and France and continuing to roll out internationally.
Making its international debut at MIPTV 2015 is Bullseye from Endemol Shine North America, an exhilarating challenge series where teams become human darts as they fly, slide or fall as close as physically possible to a target. Contestants could find themselves acting as a human slingshot or even jumping between two speedboats as they fling towards a major cash prize. Bullseye will premiere in the U.S. this May on FOX.

Also launching in Cannes for the first time is Stripped, a factual entertainment series from Endemol Shine Nordics which challenges people to live for 30 days without any possessions. Everything they own is locked away, revealing their relationship with objects and belongings.

Endemol Shine Group’s scripted format highlights include breakout hits that have been locally adapted around the world, such as Broadchurch and The Bridge. These will be joined at MIPTV 2015 by international titles such as The Orpheus Project, a supernatural medical drama from Israel and No Identity, a gritty tale of a lawyer led into a dark network of theft, extortion and trafficking as she searches for her true origins from Spain.

“Endemol Shine Group’s combined format slate is one of the most extensive and diverse in the world with something for any broadcaster or platform in any market.” said Lisa Perrin, Managing Director of Endemol Shine Creative Networks. “Our highlights for MIPTV 2015 include some of today’s biggest non-scripted and scripted formats as well as incredibly exciting new titles making their debut this market.”
The new company’s MIPTV debut will see the former Endemol and Shine stands combined to create an expanded presence in the Riviera Hall (R8.E1/E15)
