Björn Persson Becomes New MD of Meter Television AB

It was announced today that Björn Persson has been appointed MD of Meter Television AB, and Madelene Hansson Deputy MD, at the leading Swedish production company.
Björn Persson has an extensive experience of media in many different contexts. Originally a journalist, educated at the University of Maryland, USA and Department of Journalism, Stockholm, Persson has worked as a journalist for Aftonbladet, Expressen, Svenska Dagbladet and the news agency TT. He has been news director at Metro, where he also worked with launches in other countries as well as on similar projects for Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
Persson has worked in TV production since 1990 as a producer at Strix, Lundin & Co, Titan and Meter Television in genres ranging from news & current affairs to entertainment.
Madelene Hansson has worked as International Business and Sales Director at Metronome Film & Television since 2010. Previously, she worked in international strategies and sales at production company Embassy Row in New York and as a project manager and Head of International Sales at Strix.

Meter Television is the largest producer of entertainment and factual programs for major Swedish TV channels. In 2012 the company produced over 200 hours of TV, and a total of more than 30 productions. Meter Television AB is part of Metronome Film & Television AB.
