Metronome Group

Metronome Film & Television is the Nordic region’s largest production group with operations is Sweden, Denmark, Norway & Finland.

The companies of the Metronome Group produce some of the world’s biggest formats including: MasterChef, Big Brother, Pop Idol, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Come Dine With Me.

In Sweden, the group includes the production companies Meter Film and Television AB, Stockholm-Kopenhamn (STO-CPH), Filmlance International AB and Friday TV AB. In Norway the group includes Metronome Spartacus AS and Rubicon TV AS. In Denmark, Metronome Productions A/S and Studios A/S, and in Finland, Metronome Film and Television OY.

Format creators Friday TV has developed hit formats Clash Of The Choirs and Minute To Win It. Both programmes have sold extensively across Europe and have achieved US Network commissions from NBC. Based in Sweden, STO-CPH creates witty, edgy and original content for the market including The Most Extraordinary Person Show, The Cruise and In Another Part of Köping.

Meter’s portfolio of hits include The Luxury Trap, Stars in the Castle, Family Links and Swedish Hollywood Wives and Metronome Productions has international sensation Golden Oldies.

In the scripted space, Filmlance are the pre-eminent producer of scripted programming in Sweden, hits include Bron/Broen, The Sandhamn Murders and hit TV movie series, Beck. In Norway, Rubicon produces daily soap Hotel Caesar (running over 2,000 episodes), the Rose D’Or nominated drama series Hvalerand and the hugely successful comedy drama Lilyhammer.

The Metronome Group has offices in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo and headquarters in Stockholm. Metronome joined Shine Group in 2009.
