Patrick Keegan

Director of Communications

Patrick Keegan is Director of Communications at Shine Group.

Patrick joined Shine as the group’s first Communications Director in September 2010 having represented the company for several years whilst at Freud Communications.

Patrick joined Freuds in the early 1990s working as unit publicist on the Big Breakfast. From this high profile role, he went on to represent some of that decade’s most high profile programmes including Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush and TFI Friday and presenters such as Chris Evans and Ant and Dec, joining the company board in 1999.

In the noughties he spearheaded the agency’s Entertainment-led accounts representing broadcasters (BSkyB), independent producers (Shine Group, Gallowgate, Baby Cow), social media platforms (bebo), a diverse selection of talent (Basil Brush, Steve Coogan, Bear Grylls, Trinny and Susannah), and industry body BAFTA for both their Television and Film Award ceremonies, (the latter of which he oversaw media for across thirteen years). In addition, he led agency campaigns for public bodies including Visit London and worked on the successful bid for the London 2012 Olympics. Over the last ten years, Patrick has also became established as a regular contributor and guest presenter on radio, with review and media commentary slots for BBC London and LBC and helped develop and deliver branded content for clients including Walkers and Diageo, whose worldwide Arthurs Day broadcast he Executive Produced for two years.

Patrick sits on the BAFTA Television Committee.
