Holger Rettler is Deputy CEO at Shine Germany.

Holger runs the Cologne office, producing formats like Got To Dance, Don’t Lose The Money, Minute to Win It, Teen Moms and Mobbed.

Holger was born and raised in the Ruhrgebiet (the coal mining area in Germany). While studying social sciences he became a member of a comedy group called N8chtschicht. After several years with hundreds of live performances the group created its own tv show for the public broadcaster WDR.

After changing over to the other side of the camera Holger Rettler worked as a series producer for ARD (ZAK and PRIVATFERNSEHEN) and RTL (“wie bitte?!”) Together with Frank Elstner, the creator of Europe`s most successful TV show Wetten Dass?!, Holger Rettler worked as creative producer for several TV primetime shows. (Verstehen Sie Spass?, ARD – Deutscher Fernsehpreis, RTL – Millenium Gala, ZDF) After producing two comedy shows for BRAINPOOL (“The sketch show” and Witzig ist witzig”, both ProSieben) he changed to Tresor TV. Holger Rettler led the Cologne subsidiary as managing director Being responsible for formats like The Super Nanny, Baby Borrowers – RTL, DIY – SOS, Honey – we are killing the kids – ProSieben and Secret Millionaire – Sat1, Nothing but the Truth – RTL2.
