Marika Makaroff

Marika Makaroff is Managing Director of Friday TV.

Marika joined Friday TV as Managing Director in May 2014 from FremantleMedia Finland, where she was Managing Director/ Executive Producer from 2005-2011 and Creative Director 2011-2013. Prior to that, she was Founder and Head of Productions and Head of Development at Naked Productions from 2001-2004, where she was active as script writer, actress and host, notably on Finnish channel’s YLETV1’s Makaroff & Modig.

Marika started her career as a journalist and host on Radio One and Radio City Morning shows. Her radio career was followed by positions as content manager, host, script writer, co-producer and eventually producer for Broadcasters from 1997-1999, notable shows include MTV3′s Hurja Joukko, Sukujuhla, and Satua&Totta. At the same time she was active as producer and content developer for a multitude of other productions. From 1998-2001 Marika worked as script writer, journalist, co-producer and host for Production House and Moskito Television.

Marika is also active in charity work. She has worked with Yllätetään Yhteiskunta as a member of the CEO group and focused on young, unemployed people and is currently on the board of STAF.
