Carolyn Bernstein is Executive Vice President, Scripted Television for Shine America.
Bernstein and her team developed The Bridge for FX, the upcoming series Gracepoint for FOX and have numerous projects in development for both U.S. broadcast and cable networks.
Prior to joining Shine America, Bernstein served as the Executive Vice President of Drama Development and Senior Vice President, Alternative Programming at The WB Television Network from 1999-2008. While at the WB, she developed such successful and long-running dramatic series as Gilmore Girls, Smallville, One Tree Hill and Supernatural and was responsible for The WB’s first non-fiction series hit Popstars.
Bernstein also worked as Vice President of Drama Development at Columbia TriStar Television from 1997-1999, where she developed the hit drama Dawson’s Creek.
Previously, Bernstein served as Director of Drama and Production for FX from 1993-1995 and as Manager of Development at FOX Broadcasting from 1992-1993.
Bernstein began her career at CAA working in the motion picture literary department.
She is a magna cum laude graduate of Brown University and currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband Nick and two children, Georgia, 6 and Lucas, 10.
