Alex Mahon

Chief Executive Officer

Alex Mahon is Chief Executive Officer of Shine Group.

Alex joined Shine Group in 2006, originally as Managing Director of Shine TV from UK producer talkbackTHAMES where she was COO. She subsequently became COO Shine Group and was made CEO in September 2012.

Before Shine, Mahon was Global Director of Commercial Development and Strategy at FremantleMedia working on company strategy, mergers and acquisition and joint ventures. This work included purchasing production companies worldwide including significant operations in Australia, Japan and Germany. Her TV career began with RTL Group based in Luxemburg looking after both content and broadcasting operations across Europe. Before this she was a strategic consultant to internet start ups and has a Physics PhD.

She is a Non-executive Director of the Edinburgh International Television and of Ocado PLC (FTSE 250) and Appeal Chairman of the Healing Foundation.
