The Hatch is Shine Group's social enterprise production company who are committed to giving young people from more diverse backgrounds a truly outstanding learning experience that will equip them for jobs in the production business.

Shine started the Hatch in 2013, taking on 10 Apprentices who were dedicated to carving out a career for themselves in TV.

They get real, on the job training as they produce their own entertainment, factual and drama shows and get to learn the production business from the inside out. Shine believes in backing young talent and training them as multi-skilled producer / director / editors. It's the centrepiece of a commitment to meaningfully improving the diversity of creative voices heard on UK TV and online.
