Nearly Famous presents four first-year students about to begin their performing arts education at The Salinger School – a university for future Amys and Adeles. But Lila, Owen, Kate and Joe soon learn that talent alone is not enough, and that they need to really push it, to make it. While Lila struggles to find her inner writer, Owen needs to keep a lid on his aggression, but neither have their parents’ support to fall back on. Kate, meanwhile, has to deal with the poisoned chalice of coming from a famous family, while trying to prove she’s an actress to be reckoned with. Meanwhile everyone just thinks Joe’s a geek, but he’ll show ‘em - that is, once he’s dropped the act and found out who he really is. Nearly Famous charts the highs and lows of London’s budding musicians, writers and actors who learn the hard way, about the business they call show.
