Shine International is the sales and distribution arm of the Shine Group. It is a leading distribution company focused on exploiting worldwide intellectual property rights through scripted and non-scripted formats and tape. Led by Chris Grant and John Pollak, Shine International distributes programming from the growing library of Shine Group content, including shows from Reveille, Kudos Film and Television, Dragonfly Television and Film Productions, Princess Productions, Friday TV, STO-CPH and in addition sells a broad array of third party programming acquired from independent producers and US networks, to more than 150 countries worldwide. Shine International is a leader in handling global rights to television formats, including Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? (the most successful TV format ever sold), The Biggest Loser (airing in 30 countries), The Moment of Truth (airing in over 25 countries), American Gladiators, The Family, MasterChef, Clash of the Choirs and many others. Shine International has also emerged as a leader in the distribution of scripted content. Shine International launched The Listener in 2008 and subsequently partnered with leading independent studio MRC to form a joint venture to distribute their television slate including HBO�s The Life and Times of Tim and ABC�s Surviving Suburbia. Shine International�s 2009 slate includes FX�s first animated series in a decade Archer and Look for Showtime. In the non-scripted market Shine International has an overall deal with Merv Griffin Entertainment to see all of the company�s programming overseas, as well as representing shows from some of the world�s best known third party producers including Light-Hearted Entertainment, Love Productions and Magical Elves Productions. Shine International has an agreement with MySpace to exclusively distribute content and original online series from the social networking site on the TV, DVD and merchandising ends.
