What will happen to my application and personal information?
The information you submit to the website can only be accessed by authorised members of the production team for administration and selection purposes. We may also use personal information to contact you about your application. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for more information.
If you selected yes to " Please let us know if you would be interested in participating in future series and other television opportunities offered by Shine", we may use your information to contact you in the future about any further series or any other opportunities we may have.
I was not born in the UK but I now live here. Can I still apply?
Yes, the competition is open to anyone who is permanently resident in the UK.
I have missed the deadline for submitting my application. Can I still apply?
No. The deadline for applications is final and no applications will be accepted after the closing date.
How do I know if my application has been submitted incorrectly or incomplete?
The production team will use reasonable endeavours to contact any candidate via email if their application has been deemed to be incorrect or incomplete. The email will inform them about what area of their application is incorrect or incomplete and they may then give the opportunity to rectify this issue if appropriate.
Although every effort will be made to contact candidates whose applications fall into this category we are unable to guarantee that this will happen. Accordingly candidates must try to ensure that they apply correctly in the first instance.
What should I do if my images aren't uploading?
If you're having trouble uploading images, please note the following points:
- The system only accepts jpg images.
- If you have another type of image, Microsoft paint and other image tools can generally resave the file as a .jpg
- The images must be under 5MB in size. To find out the size of your picture, right click on the file and select properties.
- If your picture is too big you must resize it. If you need help with resizing your picture there are numerous tools online if you search for "resize photo"
